    On September 18, 2017, on the sidelines of the general debate of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland took part in a number of meetings, among others the high-level event on UN reform organized by the United States of America.

    The meeting was chaired by the US President, H.E. Donald Trump. Poland along other UN member states co-sponsored a joint political declaration on the support for the reform of the Organization.

     

    The chief of Polish diplomacy participated earlier that day in a trilateral meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Sweden, H.E. Margot Wallström, and Ukraine, H.E. Pavlo Klimkin. It provided an opportunity to discuss the most important issues on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.

     

    Minister Witold Waszczykowski held also bilateral talks with the Foreign Minister of Eritrea, H.E. Osman Saleh Mohammed and with the Foreign and International Cooperation Minister of Morocco, H.E. Nasser Bourita. Moreover, he met with a delegation of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), participated in a Visegrad meeting organized by Hungary as well as in the EU Foreign Affairs Council gathering.
